you slammed your fist down on your digital alarm clock on your bedside table. groaning, you rolled over in your bed, grabbing the covers and pulling them over your head. after dozing off for a couple minutes, you heard your phone ring loudly, and groaned again, ignoring it. after a few more rings, you heard a knock on your door. after the person behind it recognized no response, you could hear the door creak slowly, and seconds later felt a poke on your back. cue a sneeze.

"{name}-chan?" ah, so it was Tooru, as you predicted. "If you don't get up you're going to be late for school." he said, poking you again. you groaned. "I don't think i'm going to school today." you said, turning over to face Tooru. you completely engulfed yourself in covers, but Tooru could see your red nose and the dried snot coming down it. he cringed. disgusting. "Are you sick?" he asked, walking closer to your bed. you glared at him. "What do you think?" you snapped, suddenly going into a fit of coughs. Tooru squealed and ran into your bathroom.

when he came back, he had on a doctor's mask over his mouth and nose. you rolled your eyes. he rolled up the sleeves of his uniform. "It looks like I'm not going to school today." he said, sighing rather dramatically. you raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? I'm not that sick. And Iwaizumi-kun will be mad when he finds out you skipped school." you said, sneezing. Tooru's eyebrow twitched at the mention of his friend. "I-It'll be fine. Plus, I'm sure Iwa-chan won't be that mad once he knows I skipped for a good reason!" he said, smiling triumphantly. you sighed. "Whatever. I'm going back to sleep." you said, rolling over in your bed. Tooru huffed.

"Fine. I'm only letting you sleep for a little bit." he said, closing the door behind him as he walked out.

"{name}-chan~" Tooru cooed, walking into your bedroom. When he received no response, he shook the lump of covers. The lump of covers groaned rather loudly, and Tooru smiled. "Go away." you said, weakly kicking him through your covers.

"I made food."

"I'll be in the living room in 5."

you walked into your living room, yawning. "Sit down, {name}-chan. I'll be there in a bit." Tooru said from the kitchen. you did as he said, and flopped down on the couch roughly. when he came in, he was holding two bowls of soup in his hands. he halted suddenly, looking at you. you had on a loose crop top that showed your stomach and sweatpants and your hair was messy and your face was flushed, but what the fuck, how did you look so cute?! Tooru was snapped out of his thoughts when you snapped "Give me my food already!"

"Alright, alright, don't be so hasty." he said, sitting your bowl down on the coffee table in front of you. You gladly took it, taking a small sip. Your eyes immediately glowed. "Woooooooahhh, this is delicious!" you gushed, eating more. Tooru smiled. "Well, duh. It's not like I can't cook." he said, then yelped in pain when you gave him a harsh kick in his ankle. You turned on the tv, ignoring the "This is the thanks I get for taking care of you?!" from him.

after a while of eating, you both finally finished all the soup, and had managed to make it through mean girls three times. "I just don't get it," tooru said, complaining for the fifth time in a row. "how could Regina be so oblivious to what was going on?! Well, If I were queen bee of the school, I would definitely-"

tooru was cut off when you kissed him. when you pulled away, tooru stared at you for about 5 seconds, the shrieked and ran into the bathroom, screaming "Couldn't you have confessed in a better way?! And not while you were sick!?!?!?!" leaving you a laughing mess on the couch.

this sick day wasn't so shitty after all.
